Adult 4-H volunteers work with 4-H youth age 5-19 to provide fun, educational hands-on opportunities which help develop self-esteem, confidence, and leadership while learning life skills.
Imagination Library of Barry County
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails free books to children from birth to age five in Barry County.
Barry County Mental Health &
Delivering substance abuse prevention programming in Barry County schools while implementing youth-based prevention activities and prevention education for parents of youth.
CASA for Kids
Provides volunteer advocates to act as a voice for abused and neglected children who are under the jurisdiction of the courts in Barry, Eaton and Ingham Counties.
Commission on Aging
Promotes, assists, and safeguards the rights and abilities of persons age 60 and over, in order to maintain their maximum health, safety, and independence. Programs include Meals on Wheels and In-Home services.
Eaton Clothing and Furniture
Provides clothing, furniture, and housewares to qualified low income families once a month at no cost.
Family Support Center
Administer the CRIB program to eliminate unsafe sleeping conditions, parenting classes, Kinship Care and implement their education series for all new parents.
Food Bank of South Central MI
Funds offset the costs of soliciting, storing and distributing food to the Barry County Hunger Relief network, FFI, Kids Café and their regular distribution to Barry County food pantries.
Gerald R. Ford Boy Scouts
To prepare youth to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
Green Gables Haven
Provides temporary, secure, nurturing environment and support to enable victims of domestic violence in Barry County to make appropriate, life altering changes.
Habitat for Humanity Barry County
A partnership between volunteers and families to build ownership of new homes. Habitat—ReStore resells donated items at reduced cost.
Leadership Barry County’s Youth Quest
A program that unites 14—18 year olds with peers to interact and aid in the development of team-building, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Supplying food, clothing and baby pantry items to the underserved residents of Barry County.
Thornapple Area Parks & Recreation
Offers athletic programs for school age youth within the TK school district and surrounding areas. Full and reduced registration fees for those qualifying with economic hardship.
YMCA of Barry County
The YMCA is here for youth and families who want to engage in summer camp, sports, swim lessons, child care, mentoring, literacy services, and more. They have a financial assistance program in place for those who wish to apply.
