Barry County United Way is now accepting applications for our Community Impact Fund. In an effort to improve lives in our community, BCUW invests donor gifts in exceptional programs that make measurable progress. The BCUW provides funding to more than 30 programs and services throughout Barry County. Grants are provided through a competitive and transparent allocations process that is open to all non-profit organizations that meet eligibility requirements. The application process will open on September 29, 2026 and close on December 3, 2026 at 5pm.

Eligibility:

• The organization must be a 501(c)3 in good standing with the State of Michigan Nonprofit Corporation Act and IRS rules for Charitable Organizations, or a government entity.
• The organization must be established and providing services for more than 2 years at the time of submission.
• The proposed program must provide services to clients residing in Barry County Michigan.
• The BCUW does not provide funding for capital improvements/campaigns or administrative costs.
• BCUW values programs that are non-duplicative, emphasize collaboration, promote an equitable society and leverage dollars from other sources.
• The funds must address needs in the following focus areas:
• Helping youth to achieve their potential
• Supporting families to achieve well-being and success
• Assisting senior adults find support and maintain independence
• Addressing urgent and emerging needs in Barry County
